Leadership
Christopher R. Dolan is the Managing Director of Potomac Risk and leads a team of Senior Advisors. He spent 22 years in the United States Secret Service. As Special Agent in Charge of Intergovernmental, Legislative and Congressional Affairs, he managed a directorate responsible for strategy and management of oversight between the White House, Department of Homeland Security, and the US Senate and House of Representatives. He authored the Strengthening State and Local Cyber Crime Fighting Act of 2017, giving state and local judges, prosecutors and investigators the training and resources to protect Americans from cybercrime.
He spent the previous four years in charge of implementation and execution of high threat protective details of visiting heads of state and heads of government from Israel, Iran, India, China, Germany, France, the United Kingdom and others. In this role he developed extensive relationships with foreign partners and US assets around the world, which helps inform his understanding of the diverse environments his clients operate in.
He previously managed a global intelligence operations center responsible for assessing risk based on information from intelligence community partners and making real time operational decisions based on evolving events and threats. He spent several years in the USSS Presidential Protective Division during the Obama administration, and later supervised on the protective detail of Donald Trump.
Before entering public service, Mr. Dolan was in technology management consulting for several years. He studied Cybersecurity Strategy at Georgetown University and holds a Bachelor of Science from Marist University.
